I Forgot
As I was reading a blog post by the wonderful Mod R (who moderates the Ilona Andrews site/FB/etc), I realized that I'd forgotten to write one of my own. Or, rather, I forgot to finish the one that I started. (A MASSIVE rant involving AI being nothing short of absolute theft is in your future.) Honestly, I'm not in much shape to write this one. I'm feeling very blah with ... everything. I want to be inspired. I want to find joy in my writing. I'd like to find some interest in

Magickal Weekend
First off: THEY'RE HERE!! My hardcovers have finally arrived and I am absolutely in love with them. I, of course, took a lot of pictures, so those will be forthcoming. Not that I've had time yet to do the kind of photo shoot I wish to. As always, my wife is a complete ROCKSTAR and created a wonderful bunch of books for me. (Though that 2 not lining up even a little bit with the other numbers is messing with her. lol) Now, of course, when I do get time, I'll have to sign, box

Hallmark Christmas
Every year, for Halloween and Christmas, I get super involved in my town. What this actually means is that, about four years ago, I decided that I had to be the change I wanted to see. Growing up in this small town, there was never anything fun to do in the immediate area. I grew up hating this town because of it. Then it dawned on me that I was a part of the problem, because I wasn't doing anything to change it, either. In a case like this, there's a beautiful quote I heard

Still Waiting ... And Hyping
I ordered my hardcover copies of the Prideful Magick Collection on November 7. At this time, the progress is still on 'printing'. It's been two weeks and I'm still waiting on my books to be printed , much less shipped. Meawhile, the site gives very clear dates as to when you should order by in order to receive your holiday shipments. I ordered in the beginning of November. WHERE ARE MY BOOOOOOOOOKKKKSSSS??? Alas, this is what I get for picking the 'no rush' delivery option.
PMC Spoilery Things Pt 5
I'm not even going to pretend that most of this post won't be about Nathan and Lex reuniting. I thought I could have more coherent thoughts by now, but nah. BUT NAH. First off, this one will contain all the spoilers. I'm going to talk about a lot of specific scenes because they give me all the feels, and I'm here to blabber all about them. Now you may continue. To start, I want to preface this with a thank you to my friend Connie that convinced me to cut out Nathan having a g

NEW EDITIONS!
We have new editions!! What's included in the new editions: 1. UPDATED COVERS!!! (Obviously I'm the most excited about this. You should be, too. NO MORE PPL ON THE COVERS!!) 2. Table of Contents (Sorry, Chrissy! I felt it was necessary, and she made it happen for me. TY!!) 3. New Page Headers that include the Chapter Titles!! (The subliminal messaging may save you should your bookmark fall out. At least you'll have some idea where you were.) 4. Preview of the next book in
Oops...
Well, as I'm sure you've noticed by now, the new editions of the PMC did not release on October 31, as we'd hoped. (Good thing I didn't advertise it much, huh?) Turns out, IngramSpark is a little more technical than we'd anticipated. While all the files were uploaded in time (or almost all of them), there was this little issue of having to wait 3-5 days before it gives me an e-proof before we can even think about other proofs. It's been fun. So far, only Ivy has been slated

What's Next?
Honestly, throwing this together because I tried and failed to have PMC Spoilery Things Pt 5 done before today. So you're getting a little update into my life and the MANY projects that are currently on the table. This week, I'm going to go visit my mom. Last year, my sister decided to take her and the rest of my close family across the country and I've been suffering for it since. I miss my mommy!!! I mean, I miss the littles too. (My sister and I talk weekly, so I don't ha
Ebooks Ready
Not gonna lie, I absolutely forgot to write this prior to early this afternoon. I had intended to write it on Saturday, but my day was going toward working on the ebooks for the PMC. Now, I know almost nothing about formatting. Luckily for me, I never had to learn. As long as I write in Scrivener, it has a compile option that is an absolute life-saver. With several different settings (manuscript, print, and ebook), the ability to compile a project into a book is almost laugha

Admin Things
Welp, my portion of things is done, for the most part. Barring some admin things (like figuring out international pricing–holy crap!) my...
