Too Much, Too Soon
I honestly cannot believe how fast time is going. It feels like September started two days ago. We're over halfway through the month. What the hell?????
And where tf is summer? Why is it only 59ºF as the high for the day? Why is the heat on in my house already??
It's all too much, too soon. And unfortunately, it's also very much not enough, and not fast enough.
By that, I mean my writing is going along at the same slow pace. Even though I can practically see the finish line with DK:TL, it feels like I should have been done long before now. And maybe I would have been if I would learn to manage my time better, or cut down on one of the five other jobs I have. God, nothing makes me long for winter more than knowing that my hours get cut at my literal main job. My one coworker and I have already agreed that, after hunting season, we should take turns taking two weeks off just to hibernate. And boy am I ready for it.
Alas, there's too much work to do, not enough workers to do it, and so little time to get it all done in.
I'm going to have to start implementing something before we go into winter, however. There needs to be something to make me focus on writing, marketing, advertising, building an audience, etc. My depression is getting worse by the day, and it honestly is because there isn't a single aspect of my tomorrow that I'm looking forward to.
I need to find something to look forward to. I want to fall into another manic haze where I eat/breathe/sleep writing. Even if what I churn out is crap, at least that's something I can edit.
Thinking about playing with the website again, too. Nothing too fancy or anything, but I like the idea of changing things up every now and again. But we'll see. Right now, I can't even keep up with writing a blog once a week.
(I'm still mad that I missed last week. I didn't even realize that much time had passed, that's how quick this month is going!)
Okay, well, off to jobs 1 and 6. Because even at 9:30pm, the work is never done.
(Don't let my whiny ass fool you. I wasted two hours playing games on my phone and listening to a podcast when I got home from jobs 2 & 4. I've had my break. Time to crack the whip.)
