200 DAYS!

Hello all,
If you're reading this, then I have officially hit 200 DAYS of writing! That's over half a year I've been actively choosing my passion over my procrastination.
Have all of them been good writing days? No. In fact, most have been barely squeezing it out. But I did it.
Am I happy with all that I've written so far? Nope. In fact, I have entire chapters marked as Delete or Rewrite in one of the docs, along with copious notes where they're backed up in Google Docs. (Yes, I use Google Docs as a backup. It's easy to share with everyone else that has a gmail, and I like editing in it. Plus, that means I can read the doc from anywhere.)
Things I am proud of about this endeavor:
Consistency
Steady progress
Still only writing in 2 docs
Story progression in both projects
It may not seem like much, but when you know how harebrained I can be and how overwhelmed work has made me, this is an accomplishment. (Also, I've rediscovered a new idea I'd written down in a notebook and am now looking into how to create a story out of it. Someone slap the pen out of my hands!)
Right now, I'm still working on Metaphysical Attachment and Demon Kin: The Lovers. MA stands at 82,695 words, whilst DK:TL is at 110,191. A lot, I know. Hence 'whole chapters need to be cut'. That's okay. Can't edit a blank page.
To put some of this in perspective, MA started off at 64,365 words before 2026 started. So I was already a decent chunk into that one. On the other hand, DK:TL was at 56,711 words before I started this challenge. In 200 days, it's almost doubled in size. It's also not yet close to being finished. When it is, I highly look forward to changing its status on TrackBear from 'drafting' to 'editing,' but that's a ways off yet.
Alas, it's getting late, and I want to squeeze in a few more words before bed. Just know that I'm still working on it, and I plan to see this through til the end!
