NaNoWriMo 2020
Here we are again. Almost November (finally). Which means it's time to do some NaNo prepping. For the most part, I try not to do rewrites during NaNoWriMo because the pressure of the word count means I churn out piss-poor product. Then I have to rewrite my rewrites. And usually, I'm a 'first draft, one rewrite, multiple edits' kind of person, so I really don't like having to stop mid-rewrite to begin rewriting the book again. So for the past few months, I've been on the lookout for cover artists for Demon Kin. Even though the first draft is not yet finished, I was in search of for many reasons. One: a cover that is released drives procrastinating authors–aka: me–to finish the book. Two: covers are excellent sources of promotional material, so the sooner they are released prior to the release date, the more interest you can build in a book.
