Hawthorn In Progress

The edits for Hawthorn are in progress. I prepared the doc the other day; which entails copy/pasting the entirety of the previous manuscript into another doc, creating a Table of Contents, rewriting the Acknowledgments and Author bio, and adding the first chapter of the succeeding book into the end materials. After that, the editing is just making changes to that doc.
The problem with preparing the doc before I started the editing read of the book was the fact that I began reading the book from the ending and going in reverse. Yeah. So now I'm hyped for the end of the book, making starting at the beginning a big harder. Which is one way of (fairly) critiquing the beginning of the book as not being nearly as strong as the end. That said, even though I call these all the 'Second Edition' not much is changing in them other than some additional layout stuff. However, they need these designations so that there's less confusion when the new editions make it up on Amazon.
Speaking of Amazon: I will be pulling the PMC out of Kindle Unlimited since it will finally be available on other platforms. Also, with all the crap Amazon is pulling with Audible and how they treat indie authors overall, I no longer feel comfortable doing business with them. Obviously, the distributor that the books will now be going through will make them available still on Amazon. That said, I will probably end all association I have with KDP.
This, of course, also means that there will be some restructuring around Demon Kin: The Queen, as well. But that's a worry for another time.
Alas, now it's time to get back to Hawthorn in the hopes to have the PMC finished in a timely manner.
