NaNoWriMo 2016
It is that time of year again. The year I run around like a chicken with my head cut off, determined that NaNoWriMo is my number one focus. I skip out on dinners with the boyfriend. I put off going to spend time with him for hours. And any day off I get is spent in front of this computer while racking my brain for any words at all to fit in this scene.
It is awful.
It is exhilarating.
I haven't lost a NaNo yet.
For the past five years, I've committed every ounce of energy I have in November to the story I'm working on. All of them come out looking horrible in their own ways, but a rough draft is still better than no draft. I've also had to take months to complete the manuscripts that have begun in previous Nanos. That's fine, too, since it usually means the book transforms into a series.
This year, I am working on the first rewrite for Book 4 in the Prideful Magick Collection. Since you can go to my author profile and see what it is, I feel no qualms about releasing the title here. Book 4 is titled 'Hawthorn' and I will let you try to decipher its significance all on your own.
Well, I've procrastinated long enough. Time to get back to Lex and her frustrations.
Also, don't forget to keep an eye on my FB page. I tend to do things such as #ManuscriptMonday, #TeaserTuesday, #WitchyWednesday, #ThrowbackThursday, (still need a hashtag for Friday), as well as #SaleSaturday. So there will be occasional snippets of Hawthorn showing up, as well as the awesome teasers from Book 3, Valerian.
Okay, okay. Back to work I go...
